I wrote this book because I have seen firsthand how easy it is to get stuck in the succession and transition process. Too often, people either avoid the hard conversations or jump straight to the transactional steps of succession planning, only to find themselves overwhelmed and uncertain.

 

The emotional aspects of the succession planning process, in my experience, are some of the hard to face because it’s not just about the farm—it’s about family, history, and identity. Recognizing this phase for what it truly is, acknowledging its critical role in the process, and understanding why it matters allows families to navigate a different way forward.

 

This book simplifies the process into clear, actionable steps, helping families move forward with confidence.  My goal is to make the transition process manageable so that farm legacies can be preserved rather than lost.
